Teaching vs Learning
Do you have any kids?
If so you have probably tried to teach them something
valuable and they totally disregarded it.
Typically they ‘discover' this information again at a later
date and embrace it.
Why is that?
It is because you cannot teach anyone anything.
You can learn but you
cannot be taught.
So what's the difference?
The difference is being ready to hear it and ready to learn
it.
Why would an excellent lesson not sink in?
If you are not ready emotionally or psychologically. If you
don't believe it. If you don't think you need it.
If you don't think it applies to you. If you agree but think
it is too hard. If your ego can't handle being told what to do.
There are many reasons why good information is rejected. And
this does not just apply to kids.
If applies to everyone of every age, culture, race and sex.
It applies to you and it applies to me.
We all have the capacity to learn a lot of things that will
enhance our lives.
But if we are not ready to learn them, the best teacher in
the world will be totally ineffective.
As always, our success is our own personal responsibility.
And as such it is our responsibility to learn, not to be taught.
When you are ready to learn, the teacher will appear. And it
will seem that the teacher is excellent!
We love to provide information to dentists and office
managers who are ready to learn.
Dentists can access our programs here: http://www.dentalmanagementsecrets.com/index.php/home-study
Dental Office Managers can sign up for our next training
programs (Miami in Feb and Vancouver in May) here: http://www.dentalmanagementsecrets.com/index.php/managers
All the best and here's to a happy, healthy and successful
2012.
